Traditional Worship Pastor
Tony Martin came to Central in 1997. He graduated from Davidson College with a degree in music and history and received his Master’s Degree in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Michael, moved here from North Carolina and quickly adopted the Volunteer State and Johnson City as their home. Michael graduated from UNC Chapel Hill where she majored in Communications and Journalism. She has worked in marketing, human resources, corporate training and currently serves as an Epic (electronic health record) Principal Trainer for Ballad Health. They both love to take mission trips and since coming to Central have led or participated in trips to South Africa, Brazil, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, Guatemala and several of the United States. Tony enjoys playing the piano and organ, woodworking, gardening and sailing with Michael and Tucker, their miniature schnauzer.
