Michael Davis joined the staff of Central Baptist Church in April, 2021. Michael came to CBC from south Alabama where he served for over 25 years. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Church Music from William Carey University (Hattiesburg, MS), an M.A.R. in Christian Education from Memphis Theological Seminary (Memphis, TN), a D.Ed.Min. in Church Health and Church Growth from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY), and has coursework towards the Ph.D. in Leadership from SBTS. Michael is also a Fellow in Church Business Administration through The Church Network.

A native of Mississippi, he has served churches in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia before coming to Tennessee. Michael and DeNiece were married in 1982 and have one adult daughter, Bethany, who lives in the Metro-Atlanta area. DeNiece is a graduate of William Carey University and attended New Orleans Seminary. DeNiece loves genealogy and family history. Michael enjoys cooking, woodworking and DIY projects, gardening, reading, and drinking good coffee.

His favorite Bible passage is:

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
