Central Baptist is partnering with other churches in the city (Munsey Methodist, First Christian, and Wesley Methodist) for Habitat for Humanity’s “Faith Build.” Central’s Missions Committee has already approved $5,000 toward this project. The house for a single mom and her son will be located at 112 Jay Street. Construction begins on March 13, but Central’s commitment is for May 23-25 (final tasks, clean up, etc.). Each individual will need to visit there website by clicking the “Sign Up Here” button below and then click the “VOLUNTEER” button. It will ask you to either log in to your Giveffect account (for those who have volunteered before) or create a new account. You do NOT need Facebook to create an account. There is an option for email sign-up.
Once you have filled out your Volunteer Profile (be sure to click the button affirming you have read our Release & Waiver of Liability), it will show a list of dates to select from.

Once you enter the password, the dates of Thursday, May 23 through Saturday, May 25 will open for you to click. Finish filling out the information.
Please be aware that there are times when delays in construction are out of our control (weather, permits, inspections, etc.). The specific tasks you sign up for may change depending on these delays.
If for some reason after creating an account it does not take you to the page to sign up for a date, simply go to your Giveffect volunteer profile page, click Our Campaigns on the menu box on the left side of the screen. Then click Amy’s Build, Volunteer, and you should see the dates.
*Please note that there is a 1-day registration cut off for each volunteer assignment. (Example: A volunteer assignment scheduled for Friday at 9:00am will have a registration cut off on Thursday at 9:00am.)
A week before the assignment, I’ll send out an email reminder to each volunteer with all the information they will need for the day.
